Country Shirt

We were given a choice of making a shirt or quilt at our next workshop.

As you can see, I decided on the country shirt with applique roosters, hens and chicks. It even involved a little bit of pattern alteration. Absolutely loved this shirt!

Lisa's Quilt

Although I enjoyed making the first quilt, I was still busy with other handcrafts so it was 4 or 5 years later when I attended another workshop and made this quilt for my DD which is still with her.

Quilt measures 66" square.

Where It All Began

This is the quilt that started it all.

Back in May 1995 a friend held a workshop in our local CWA Rooms and introduced several ladies to the art of patchwork and quilting.
Although mine hangs proudly on the wall in the hallway, it still has basting threads and only the two blocks on the left have been quilted by hand. So I guess you could say this was my very first quilt and still remains my very first UFO.
